Cucufo García, known in Spain as "El Coco", in UK as "The boogeyman" or in France as "Le Croque-mitaine", is a particular monster that has a story totally different from what our grandmothers used to tell us.

This strange creature was born in La Mancha, Spain, on the night of Saint John in 1145, as a result of a crazy night between a Peruan Devil and a landlady. Because of his unnusual physical he was separated from society as a baby. It was believed that he had inherited the demonic powers of his father and therefore he was a threat to humanity.

However, Cucufo had not inherited any evil power. In fact, as a result of being rejected by society and his bad temper, he had a deep resentment and the only way he felt relieved was by pleasing the small misfortunes that happen to humans, leading to develop an instinct to devise all kinds of tricks, strategies and devices in order to make people a little unhappy.

Currently, Cucufo has been nearly 1,000 years hidden in the dark, haunting humans and looking for any opportunity to generate any kind of disasters.

He claims that his favourite drink is Bitter Kass and that he feels lonely in this huge world.
